Biomass at i2 Analytical

Biomass is an industry term for an energy source that is essentially organic matter (sourced from waste or a renewable alternative). Burning a Biomass source releases carbon, however this has been classed as a renewable energy source in the EU and UN legal frameworks, because plant stocks can be replaced with new growth.

As with other energy from waste materials, the Biomass must undergo laboratory tests to meet the necessary requirements of the end users’ technical specification.
