Business Continuity During Lockdown
Firstly we hope that you, your family, friends and employees continue to stay safe and well during these unprecedented times.
In light of the recent updates from the UK government on Saturday 31st October, we would like to reassure you that aligned with the government guidelines we will be operating a normal service during the new lockdown period in England from the 5th November to 2nd December 2020. We are also operating as usual from our site in East Kilbride, Scotland during their current tiered system lockdown.
As we continue to navigate our way through these uncertain times, we would like to reassure you that all safety measures have been implemented to protect our employees and families, whilst maintaining a high level of service to our clients.
We will continue to monitor the situation and advice from the UK government and will notify you immediately of any necessary updates.
On behalf of the i2 group of services, we wish you all good health during the weeks ahead.

UPDATE: 2nd October 2020
Message from Les Jones, CEO, i2 Analytical
Along with the rest of the UK, we have been keeping a close eye on the recent news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Specifically, we are focused on keeping our employees, families, clients and vendors safe, while ensuring we have the right resources and capacity (logistics, customer services, technical resource) in place to keep our service delivery fully optimised. I want to take a moment to share these safeguards with you.
The i2 Analytical business continuity plan, which includes specific guidelines to the increasing infection rates we are seeing and the need to potentially lockdown (currently assessed regionally), are continuously reviewed to ensure clients will not experience any disruptions in daily business operations. We have been in contact with our key vendors and are confident that their contingency plans will also not impact our ability to provide continuous service. Our extended UK and mainland European logistics plans are sufficiently robust and flexible to ensure we are able to collect and deliver samples in a timely manner to the laboratory.
In addition, our employees have all been carefully instructed, trained and carry out best H&S practices according to current legislative guidelines.
As we navigate these times of unprecedented uncertainty, I want to assure you that our staff are 100% committed to achieving seamless continuity in maintaining the highest level of service to our customers, this is our absolute primary focus.
On behalf of all the i2 group of laboratory services, we wish you, your family and your employees good health and safety in the days and weeks ahead. We will continue to actively monitor this situation and notify you immediately of any necessary updates.
Warm Regards
Les Jones

UPDATE: 27th March 2020
Message from Les Jones, CEO, i2 Analytical
Nearly a week has passed since our last communication surrounding how we at i2 Analytical are dealing with COVID-19. Firstly we hope you and your families are remaining healthy and well in these difficult times and considering the extraordinary steps the UK government has taken with regards to limiting the movement of people.
With that in mind I am pleased to confirm that i2 Analytical are still operating a full service and we are still receiving and processing samples in the UK and Poland.
Our logistics teams and drivers are continuing to operate to ensure samples are collected and brought to the lab. The safety of our drivers is of paramount importance so we have ensured they are equipped with hand cleaning equipment and they are fully briefed on social distancing. We would also ask clients to communicate any changes in your protocols for collecting samples from our sites or premises to help us to maintain our service to you.
We currently have good capacity in our lab and are still able to provide rapid turnaround analysis but we would also ask that you speak to customer services by contacting us on the main office number (+44 (0) 1923 225 404) or emailing (reception@i2analytical.com).
We will continue to provide updates as necessary on here and our LinkedIn Page here.
Best Wishes

Our logistics team operate a rota of 4 to 8 vans across Europe, operating a 24 hour service through six European countries changing over drivers from our Essen Hub.
Our UK Logistics team yesterday (across the environmental, Geotechnical and Food Services) carried out a total of 135 customer (site/office) collections as well a further 47 deliveries of containers, cool boxes and supplies to our customers. We remain dedicated in supporting our customers given the current issues whilst implementing robust measures to mitigate the spread and containment of COVID-19 virus.

UPDATE: 17th March 2020
In response to the recent worldwide pandemic, i2 Analytical have been taking steps to ensure minimal disruption to our clients and their businesses and to prevent and reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
We have been reviewing all available information from Governments both in the UK and Europe to assess impacts upon our ability to deliver the highest levels of service. All European Governments are allowing the free passage of commercial traffic so we are experiencing no disruptions to our normal sample transit systems and are therefore able to maintain our levels of service.
We are committed to the following measures to minimise any impact of our activities and also protect our employees:
• Adherence to all available Government guidance
• Increased hygiene facilities across all sites, including the issuing of extra personal protective equipment, cleaning and antibacterial products.
• All international travel has been suspended (other than transfer of samples)
• UK travel has been limited to essential activities
• Working at home availability for all appropriate employees and those identified at high risk
• Visitors to any i2 sites are limited to those that are business critical
• All employees are to follow the PHE (Public Health England) guidance on self-isolation
• Regular employee briefings to ensure everyone has access to the latest information
• Continual reviews of Government and PHE information to allow us to keep processes up to date and adjust business practice as needed
In all areas, we continue to monitor any and all information and guidance issued, and will shape our responses and activities to fully safeguard staff and enable continuity measures for consistent delivery.
