i2 Analytical UKAS accredited for Aggregate & Rock Testing
We are pleased to announce the UKAS accreditation for Aggregate and Rock Testing. Our modern facilities and technical expertise provide a comprehensive testing service to all aspects of construction design and implementation use of Aggregates.
Aggregates can be described from two main sources, primary and secondary. A primary source aggregate indicates that the materials are naturally occurring deposits which have been excavated and processed for the use in construction and that this is their first use. A secondary source aggregate indicates a material not being used for the first time and derived from recycled sources such as Crushed Concrete, Crushed Brick, Glass, Bituminous Road Planning’s, Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS) and Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA).
Terry Stafford, Geotechnical Training and Quality Manager at i2 Analytical said, “We are delighted to obtain UKAS accreditation for Aggregate and Rock Testing. The accreditation of these additional services widens the scope of geotechnical and environmental accredited testing methods offered by i2 Analytical. ”
