NEW Red Lab facility opens at i2
We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our Geotechnical services to include larger soil samples from contaminated sites known as “Red” by the British Drilling Association. “Red” samples include traces of Asbestos, Hydrocarbons and Heavy Metals.
Housed in a separate unit, the Red Lab is an enclosed facility equipped with extensive HEPA filtered air extraction and an upgraded PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirement, with “air-locked” areas allowing access for staff and the ability to change in and out of PPE safely.
Les Jones, CEO at i2 Analytical says,
“Given the ongoing issues with asbestos contamination across a number of UK sites, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new service offering to the brownfield industry via our newly built asbestos RED Lab for the analysis of potentially contaminated soils containing ACM’s for Geotechnical testing. This adds considerable capability to our extensive asbestos services following on from the development of our recently accredited ‘Asbestos Dustiness’ analysis. We have an experienced team who are able to support you on such asbestos related issues and the testing requirements for such projects.”
